Further snow/ice warnings have been issued for Ireland, which last into Sunday. Take care if you’re out and about this weekend, it’s going to be cold!

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow/ice warning for Ireland.

  • Forecasters are stating that scattered wintry showers across the country today (isolated in the Southeast). Wintry showers becoming mainly confined to Western and Northern parts tonight. Icy stretches expected.

Precautionary Gritting: starting at 18:30, further monitoring of road conditions during the night.

Routes: The South Ring Road #N40 as far as Ovens bridge, #M8 as far as the toll plaza, the #N25 as far as Junction 6 (#Whitegate,) the #N20 starting at The Commons Inn as far as the Killarney roundabout, the #N71 as far as the end of the dual carriageway, all routes start at the #DunkettleInterchange.
