Met Éireann have issued a status orange thunder warning for Cork tonight, Tuesday 18th July 2017.

• Forecasters are stating a high risk of frequent thunderstorms for the rest of this evening, with a risk of localised flooding. The greatest risk along the south coast. 
• Rainfall amounts are uncertain, but up to 40mm are possible over a 6 hour period.
