Cork City Council say “Every effort will be made to keep the disruption to a minimum. Some slight discoloration to the water supply may occur when the water is restored. However this discoloration is harmless and will clear in a short time. Please check the clarity of the water before operating washing machines to prevent possible staining of washing and also before using dishwashers and drinks vending machines etc. It is important to keep taps fully closed to stop any flooding when the water comes back on. The Cork City Council on behalf or Irish Water regrets any inconvenience caused to consumers as a result of this essential work.”
