Fifty past and present attendees of Togher Family Centre in Cork City came together this week to promote a big street party on Friday to celebrate 50 years since the Centre opened its doors.

Togher Family Centre has been providing a range of life enhancing education and support services to children, adults,and families through all stages of their lives since 1973. They have grown from one single preschool service to one of the largest family centres in Munster, working with over 350 children and families every week.

Speaking about the milestone for the Centre Emma O’Callaghan said:

We are very proud of what we have achieved in 50 years, especially the positive impact it has had on children in our community.  Togher Family Centre provides a range of services including preschool, parent support, youth initiatives, counselling, adult education and much more.

Togher Family Centre cherishes its place at the heart of the community and we want to celebrate 50 years with a fun street party for all, said Emma. 

The celebrations which are free to attend will include Face Painting, Inflatable Fun, Games, Music, Refreshments, and very exciting world record attempts.
