Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred on Paul Street, Cork in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 18th October 2022.

A male (late teens) was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

One male (20s) was arrested and taken to Bridewell Garda Station where he is currently detained.
