Hazelwood Road and Hazelwood Shopping Centre

Ongoing construction work continues next week along Hazelwood Road, located opposite the river. Motorists should expect delays as a stop/go traffic management system will be in place. It is advised that all travellers in the area allocate extra time for their journeys.

Local authorities and construction teams express their thanks to the residents, shoppers, and businesses for their ongoing patience and cooperation during this period of infrastructure improvements.

New Line Road & Copper Valley Vue Update

A reminder to all road users that the L-2964 New Line Road, Brooklodge East Road, remains fully closed and will continue to be so until October 2024. The closure is essential to accommodate the installation of a new bridge at Copper Valley Vue and a culvert at Brooklodge. In the meantime, a temporary bridge will remain in operation.

Next week, work will proceed with the removal of sheet piles, which may cause some disruption to residents in the vicinity. The team extends apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

To manage traffic during this time, a three-way traffic system has been put in place to divert vehicles from the L-2964 New Line Road. The diverted route is highlighted in blue on the provided diagram.
