Cork GAA and Cork City Council have announced that the Rebels’ Fanzone will be held at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh next Sunday, in celebration of the All Ireland Hurling Championship final. This family-friendly event will broadcast the highly anticipated match between Cork and Clare on big screens, accompanied by entertainment from Cork’s RedFM before and after the game.

Pat Horgan, Chairperson of Cork GAA, expressed his excitement:

“With demand for final tickets at an unprecedented level, unfortunately not everyone will be able to attend Croke Park next Sunday. We are grateful to the support of Cork City Council to facilitate the Rebels’ Fanzone, which will allow supporters of all ages an opportunity to come together, and support an incredible team on an incredible journey.”

The initiative aims to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, known as the home of hurling in Cork.

Brian Geaney, Deputy Chief Executive of Cork City Council:

“Cork City Council and Cork GAA are delighted to host a fanzone event at Páirc Uí Chaoimh during next Sunday’s All Ireland Hurling Final. There’s huge excitement building across Cork and we’re planning for an electric atmosphere at this free, family-friendly event at the home of Cork GAA.”

The Rebels’ Fanzone will be a fully ticketed, alcohol-free event, and all attendees under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are free of charge and will be available starting tomorrow, Tuesday, July 16th, through the Cork GAA website (www.gaacork.ie) and the Cork City Council website (www.corkcity.ie).

Additionally, Cork GAA and Cork City Council are organising the Rebels’ Return, a live event at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Monday, July 22nd, to celebrate a remarkable year for Cork hurling. More details about this event will be shared later in the week.
