Gardaí in Clonakilty are investigating the discovery of a body of a man (late 50s) that was discovered in the early hours of this morning Saturday 22nd June, 2019 on the roadway at Glandore, Co. Cork.

The scene is currently being examined and the State Pathologist has been notified.  The body remains at the scene and the results of the post mortem will determine the course of the investigation.  The road at Glandore is currently closed and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have travelled through, or been in the vicinity of Glandore Village between 12 mid-night and 2am today Saturday, 22th  June, 2019 and perhaps any persons who may have observed any pedestrians in the area to contact Clonakilty Garda Station on 023-8821570.
