The Everyman Theatre in Cork is dedicated to making theatre accessible to all audiences. For the upcoming production of Red Riding Hood, the theatre has scheduled several access performances to cater to diverse needs, including those of individuals with autism and other sensory sensitivities.

Audio-Described Performance with Touch Tour

• Date and Time: Friday, 3rd January 2025, at 1:30 PM
• Details: This performance provides live verbal commentary on the visual elements of the production, delivered through a headset for attendees who are blind or visually impaired. Additionally, a touch tour before the show allows patrons to explore the set, props, and costumes, enhancing their understanding of the performance. The session will be facilitated by Bríd Ní Ghruagáin.

ISL-Interpreted Performance

• Date and Time: Saturday, 4th January 2025, at 1:30 PM
• Details: An Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpreter will convey the spoken elements of the performance for deaf or hard-of-hearing audience members. Ray Greene will interpret this session.

Relaxed Performance

• Date and Time: Sunday, 12th January 2025, at 11:00 AM
• Details: This performance is tailored for individuals who may benefit from a more relaxed theatre environment, including those with autism, sensory sensitivities, or learning disabilities. Adjustments include modified lighting and sound levels, a tolerant atmosphere where audience members can make noise or move around, and access to a designated chill-out area in the foyer.
