Gardaí have seized cannabis herb (pending analysis) with a combined value of €540,000 following searches in Co.Cork and Co.Limerick on Friday, 23rd February 2024.

An estimated €300,000 worth of cannabis herb was seized by Gardaí in Cork following the search of a vehicle in Mallow on Friday afternoon.

 

Follow up searches carried out by the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit in Balysheedy led to the seizure of cannabis herb valued at €240,000.

 

All of the drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.

 

A man aged in his 30s was arrested in connection with these seizures by Gardaí.

 

He has since been charged and is due to appear before a special sitting of Cork City District Court this evening, Saturday, 24th February 2024 at 5pm.
