, a national mental health charity, is extending a lifeline to those feeling down over the festive season by encouraging people to avail of its free services. Operating 365 days a year, including Christmas Day, the charity provides up to six free counselling sessions for adults living in Ireland and has launched dedicated Christmas support groups for those facing difficulties during the holidays.
Christmas is the busiest period for Turn2Me, as many individuals grapple with anxiety, stress, financial pressures, grief, loneliness, and depression. The online nature of its support groups ensures accessibility for anyone in Ireland.
The following themed online support groups are now available via Turn2Me.ie:
- Christmas Day (25th December) at 6pm – Christmas Blues support group
- Stephen’s Day (26th December) at 11am – Family Issues support group
- Friday, 27th December at 11am – Bereavement support group
- Saturday, 28th December at 11am – Family Issues support group
- Sunday, 29th December at 11am – Bereavement support group
- Monday, 30th December at 11am – How to Manage Anxiety support group
- New Year’s Eve (31st December) at 11am – Feeling Alone support group
- New Year’s Day (1st January) at 11am – Feeling Down support group
In addition to counselling and support groups, Turn2Me offers a free meditation programme, an online mood diary called the ‘Thought Catcher’, and a range of helpful articles to support mental well-being.
