The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is back with a bang, pulling over 100,000 jazz lovers and curious music fans into the heart of Cork City. With the energy pulsing through Cork’s streets, pubs, and venues, it’s no surprise that the festival’s mix of world-class jazz performances, local talent, and one-of-a-kind events has become a highlight of the autumn season. And with two days left, there’s still time to get in on the action before the festival wraps up on Monday.

This year, Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Gregory Porter gave festival-goers unforgettable moments with his two sold-out shows at the Cork Opera House. Fans also got a thrill when Porter made surprise appearances around the city—adding a personal touch to an already special event. The packed lineup of jazz legends and new talents alike has made this festival one of the most vibrant yet, with live performances on street corners, an exciting Guinness Music Trail across 72 local pubs, and even brass bands filling the air with energy and melody.

Gaby Moreno, three-time Grammy winner and one of this year’s headliners, captured the mood perfectly, saying:

“Performing at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is such a special moment for me. It’s an honour to be part of a celebration with so much history, where artists and audiences from all over come together through music. As a Guatemalan artist, it’s so wonderful to share my songs in this setting, with all the energy and spirit that Cork brings.”

It’s not just music lovers who are feeling the boost—Cork’s local businesses, hotels, and restaurants are buzzing with activity, thanks to the €45 million economic lift this festival brings.

As the final acts prepare to take the stage, there’s still plenty to look forward to, with performances from De La Soul, Amadou & Mariam, Orchestra Baobab, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Staples Jr. Singers, and Bricknasty, alongside late-night sessions and interactive workshops around the city. This beloved event continues to prove why Cork is a top jazz destination, drawing people from near and far into the city’s warm, lively embrace.
