Gardaí in Fermoy are seeking the publics assistance in identifying a van and its driver, following a collision which occurred by the soccer pitches on the Old Cork – Dublin Road, on the Rathcormac side of Watergrasshill on Tuesday, 2nd April at around 2.55pm.

A sheet of metal became loose from a trailer and collided with a Bus Éireann bus which had been travelling in the opposite direction.

The occupants sustained no serious injuries, and the van driver recovered the sheet of metal and continued driving towards Rathcormac.

The vehicle appears to be a grey Renault Trafic van towing a distinctive triple-axle trailer. If you recognise the van or trailer, Gardaí are asking the public to contact Fermoy Garda Station on 025 82100.
