As part of an ongoing investigation into violent disorder and related criminal activities in Cork city on 6th January 2025, Gardaí conducted a search and arrest operation on Friday morning, 10th January 2025.

Gardaí from the Cork City Division, supported by the Armed Support Unit, searched four residential properties in Cork, recovering a large quantity of weapons.

Five men, aged from their late teens to twenties, were arrested during the operation and taken to Garda Stations in the Southern Region.

Following the arrests, all five of the men have been charged.
