Gardaí in Cork continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the murder of 47-year-old Kieran Quilligan, who was reported missing from his home in Cork City on Friday, 1st September 2023.

One man, aged in his 20s, has been released without charge this morning. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The second man, aged in his 30s, remains detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in Cork city.
