Gardaí have seized €22,500 of suspected drugs and cash in Turners Cross, Cork on November 30, 2020.

As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Cork city, Gardaí from the Cork city Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by the Anglesea Street District Drugs Unit and Armed Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a house in the Turners Cross area of the city at around 8pm.

During the course of the search Gardaí seized suspected cannabis herb with a street value of €21,000 and approximately €2,500 cash. The suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the scene and was brought to the Bridewell Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
