Fire Crews worked tirelessly overnight battling a blaze at the National Recycling Centre in Churchfield. Multiple units from the Cork City Fire Brigade attended the incident, including units from Anglesea Street, Ballyvolane and a Water Tanker.
Firefighters used Foam through branches and their foam cannon trailer in an attempt to extinguish the fire.

In an update this at 8am this morning, Cork City Fire Brigade said:
Fire is under control in Churchfield as one crew remain at scene to dampen down hot spots.
Firefighters battled through the night and into the early hours of the morning to gain control of the fire.
