As excitement builds for the upcoming Munster Senior Hurling Championship clash between Cork and Clare on 28th April 2024 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, attendees are advised to plan their travel carefully to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

General Travel Advice:

Due to the absence of dedicated parking at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, spectators are encouraged to utilise city centre car parks, which are within easy walking distance of the stadium. Public or shared transport is recommended. The 202 and 212 bus routes serve the stadium with stops at Ballintemple on Blackrock Road near the pharmacy.

A complimentary shuttle bus service will be available starting at 12:00 pm from opposite Goldbergs Bar on Victoria Road, running every 20 minutes to and from the stadium. This service will continue until 90 minutes after the match ends.

Road Closures:

To facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians, several road closures will be in effect on the day of the match:

  • From 9 am, sections of Monahan Road and Maryville, including Ardfoyle / Park Avenue, and Blackrock Road / Maryville, will be closed, reopening around 5 pm.
  • Additional closures from 11 am include Boreenmanna Rd/ Churchyard Lane and Blackrock Rd/ Churchyard Lane, with access maintained for residents only.

Stadium Access:

The stadium can be accessed on foot from the city centre via Centre Park Road and Monahan Road, approximately a 15-minute walk, or by shuttle bus. Alternatively, it is a 10-minute walk from Boreenmanna Road via Churchyard Lane to Maryville.

Parking Information:

While parking directly at the stadium is not available, ample parking is provided in city centre car parks. Spectators are reminded not to block housing estates, business premises, or parks, and to avoid parking on footpaths, in disabled spaces, bus stops, or any area that may restrict emergency service access.

Coach and Bus Parking:

Coaches and buses are advised to park on Boreenmanna Road facing towards the South City Link Road to facilitate priority exiting after the match. The drop-off area for taxis is on Victoria Road, just before Marina Walk, while other large public service vehicles should use the designated area on Boreenmanna Road near the Maxol filling station.

Post-Match Instructions:

With an expected attendance of around 35,000, attendees are urged to follow the directions of An Garda Síochána and stewards to ensure a safe and orderly departure from the venue.

By adhering to these guidelines, spectators can look forward to a fantastic day of hurling between two of Munster’s finest teams, with minimal inconvenience and maximum enjoyment.
