The Cork Summer Show will take place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of June and promises to be a weekend brimming with fun and entertainment for the whole family!

Getting there couldn’t be easier and under 12’s can enter the show for free!

Parking restrictions will apply on roads adjacent to the Showgrounds and we ask that visitors use the dedicated parking provided on site and our three park & ride car parks or travel to the show on public transport, using Bus Éireann’s 208 special service.

Public Transport

It’s no fuss to take the bus!

Bus Éireann 208 route.

The show is fully connected by public transport, thanks to a special temporary extension of the Bus Éireann 208 route taking visitors directly to the Cork Summer Show.

The service runs to a dedicated stop, conveniently located within the Cork Showgrounds on Curraheen Road. As soon as the bus pulls up, your trip to the Cork Summer Show begins.

The 208 service is part of Bus Éireann’s Cork City network and can be accessed at stops all along its route, which begins at Ashmount and serves: Old Youghal Road, St Luke’s Cross, Parnell Place, St Patrick’s Street, Western Road (UCC), Wilton, Bishopstown, Curraheen Road and for the weekend of the 17th and 18th June terminates at the Cork Summer Show. 

Special services will run from 7am until 7pm.

For visitors to Cork City, the Parnell Place Stop connects the 208 with Bus Éireann Expressway and regional services and is also located only a short walk from Cork’s Kent Railway Station and other operators’ coach parks.

Leap Card, Monthly/Annual Tickets, Free Travel Passes and Cash Fares are all accepted on board, with Leap Card fares offering great value, starting from as little as 65 cents for children and young adult card holders (under 24), travelling from the city centre. 

The Cork Summer Show is located within the Cork City ‘Red Zone’ for annual or monthly ticket holders.

Leap Cards can be purchased online at www.leapcard.ie or in person at Leap Card agents.

TFI Go App users can also purchase a zonal ticket for the Cork City Red Zone.

This year’s Cork Summer Show is bigger than ever. 

Alongside all the animals and exciting competitions, the show has twenty themed zones, spanning everything from music and entertainment to kids’ activities, to dogs, pets and small animals, health and wellness to art, craft and baking!

Foodies will love exploring The Food Village, the largest outdoor food fare in Munster, bringing together some of the very best of traditional and contemporary food, chef demos and an opportunity to meet with food producers. It also features a full bar and there’s loads of seating and picnic tables, where you can relax, enjoy and soak up the atmosphere!

This year’s show is also more sustainable than ever and access by public transport is part of a broader focus on minimising our environmental impact and a philosophy of reduce, reuse and recycle will be evident across the weekend,

Special bins will be provided to ensure proper segregation of waste and visitors to the show and all the food trucks at the event will also use only eco-friendly packaging. Visitors to the show are encouraged to bring their own reusable coffee cup and water bottle to minimise waste. A Refill mobile hydration unit will be available to enable visitors to refill their water bottle. This initiative is supported by Cork County Council.
