Cork Science Festival 2021 took place over the past two weeks with more than 300 opportunities to engage with science for people of all ages and interests throughout Cork. With everything from free at home science kits, to live science shows, interactive workshops, fascinating online talks, video content and streaming and a festival reading list, there was so much to choose from.

The live family science shows that took place at Cork’s Marina Market on 13th and 14th November were a huge hit.  Those attending learned about the ‘Science of Bubbles’ with Scientific Sue and ‘The Science of Dragons’, a show looking at the science of fire and flight that is inspired by the Cressida Cowell books ‘How to train your dragon’.

Cork Science Festival also welcomed on board Late Late Toy Show Star Adam King, known for his love of space, as an official Festival Ambassador this year.
