Cork County Council’s Virtual Reality ‘Your Life – Your Choice’ Education Programme Receives Gold At The 2021 European Excellence In Road Safety Awards

Cork County Council’s virtual reality ‘Your Life – Your Choice’ education programme received gold at the 2021 European Excellence in Road Safety Awards.

The virtual reality initiative, developed by the Council with assistance from West Cork Community Gardai, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue and Aviva Driving School simulates what it is like to be a passenger in a fatal crash.

The programme has since been rolled out across the entire country, reaching over 10,000 students to date.
