Cork City FC is asking fans to make a donation at this Friday’s game against Dundalk which will go towards the Crann Centre’s annual Walk N’Roll fundraising event.  There will be a collection at the gate or people can make a donation when purchasing tickets online.  Dedicated supporter and Walk n’Roll Ambassador Cian Hennessy will take to the pitch as one of the match day mascots to help raise awareness of the services provided by the Crann Centre.

The Cork-based charity provides lifelong, life-changing solutions for children, adults and families living with neuro-physical disabilities and is a nominated charity partner of Cork City FC.

Crann supports people living with spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, osteogenesis imperfecta, stroke and other neuro-physical disabilities and their families.  Walk n’Roll is Crann’s biggest fundraising event of the year and sets participants the challenge of completing 5km however they like. It takes place between Thursday, June 8th and Sunday, June 11th and a fundraising target of €100,000 has been set.

Chief Operating Officer at Cork City FC, Éanna Buckley, said:

“We are delighted to be able to lend our support to the Crann Centre which is our official charity partner this year.  The team at the Crann Centre provide a much needed and invaluable service to so many people in Cork and that number is growing year-on-year.  We are looking forward to welcoming Cian Hennessy onto the pitch as one of our mascots on Friday and I hope he enjoys the experience.  We would ask that football fans coming to Friday’s game against Dundalk give generously and help us in our efforts to support this very worthy cause.”
