Cork Airport has announced a significant refurbishment of its main airside bar and restaurant, with construction commencing on Monday, January 20. The new establishment, named CRAFT, will celebrate Cork’s renowned food culture, offering an upgraded menu and an enhanced dining experience. The reopening is set for mid-March.
As part of the overhaul, the existing Craft Lane bar and restaurant will close during the works, and a brand-new cocktail bar will be constructed adjacent to Gate 7.
Enhanced Dining and Seating Capacity
Under the management of KSG, a leading restaurant and food services company, CRAFT will feature a completely redesigned bar and restaurant area. With a focus on accommodating more passengers, the venue will offer 25% additional seating, catering to up to 150 customers. A new menu, inspired by Cork’s reputation as Ireland’s gourmet capital, will prioritise fresh, locally sourced artisan ingredients.
Passengers can also expect upgraded interiors, including modern flooring, lighting, furniture, and décor, designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Enhancements to customer service will aim to reduce wait times, improve flow, and ensure efficient table turnover, elevating the overall experience.
New Cocktail Bar Opening January 31
Complementing the restaurant refurbishment, a dedicated cocktail bar will open on January 31. This stylish addition will serve popular beverages, including espresso martinis, mojitos, mimosas, and more, offering travellers a new way to relax before their flight.

, added:
“With a distinctive focus on Cork’s unique culinary identity and the future growth of Cork Airport’s passenger traffic in mind, I am thrilled to see the refurbishment works commence. I have every confidence that our passengers will love the new CRAFT bar and restaurant when it reopens to the public in mid-March.”
Interim Arrangements for Passengers
During the refurbishment, passengers can enjoy beverages at the Roasted Notes café and wine bar, as well as the Food Republic food court. The cocktail bar will be available from January 31, ensuring options remain accessible.
