  • Cork Airport is proud to support Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí 2024 and the promotion of Irish culture.

Cork Airport has today announced its partnership with Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí which takes place this weekend in Douglas Village, Cork. The weekend-long festival, which is organised and hosted by Comhaltas na Dúglaise will showcase the best of Irish music, dance, and culture in the county of Cork. 

 

Starting today, Friday, May 10 and running through to Sunday, May 12, the extensive programme of events includes a Fleadh Céilí in association with Craobh Proinnsias Uí Néill, comórtaisí (competitions) for under-12, 12-15 and 15-18 age categories, fleadh sessions, a special aifreann na fleidhe (Fleadh Mass) and other group performances. All the events are taking place within the surrounds of Douglas Village, across venues including Douglas GAA Hall, Rochestown Park Hotel, Douglas Village Shopping Centre, and local bars. 

In announcing the partnership with Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí 2024 and Comhaltas na Dúglaise, Niall MacCarthy, Managing Director at Cork Airport said:
