Passengers travelling from Mitchelstown to Limerick are benefitting from significantly enhanced services and timetables on Route 328 operated by Bus Éireann on behalf of the National Transport Authority. The enhanced Route 328 now includes improved options for connecting with Irish Rail services as well as local Limerick services. Daily services between Mitchelstown and Limerick have tripled, including peak time services for commuters.

Bus Éireann were delighted to introduce these new and improved services from Mitchelstown to Limerick last month, significantly increasing services for the people of Cork, said Brian Connolly, Bus Éireann, Senior Operations Manager, West.

Thanks to the National Transport Authority, through the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan we have added 1.7 million kilometres to our network and are creating almost 50 new jobs. Demand for our services in the West is higher now than pre-pandemic, this enhanced service between Mitchelstown and Limerick will enable us to connect more people with who and what matters to them. The new services are proving particularly popular at the moment for Christmas shoppers who are choosing to take the bus and leave the car at home.

 

The upgraded Bus Éireann Mitchelstown to Limerick route is a great benefit to the town, said Sarah White, Secretary of Mitchelstown Business Association, “the increase in the frequency of the service is especially welcomed by local businesses.

Bus Éireann Route 328 serves Mitchelstown, Galbally, Ballylanders, Knocklong, Hospital, Herbertstown, Caherline Cross, Caherconlish, Limerick. Updated service details and timetables are available at buseireann.ie.
