The Bon Secours Hospital Neurophysiology and Neurology team were involved with findingcreative ways to support ‘Purple Day’ on March 26th 2021. This day is held globally to increaseawareness regarding Epilepsy. The bridge at the Bon Secours Hospital turnedpurple to show our support and a six hampers were raffled.
Items were generously donated for the hampers raising €1,200.00 and theBon Secours Hospital contributed €1,100.00 amounting to a total of €2,300.00.
The donation cheque was presented to the Cork Branch of Epilepsy Irelandtowards their continuing focus on raisingawareness of Epilepsy and the ongoing journey towards a society where noperson’s life is limited by Epilepsy.
The Neurophysiology Departmentat the Bon Secours Hospital provide a service with routine and prolonged videoEEG’s which is extremely helpful in the diagnosis and assessment of Epilepsy.
