The highly anticipated Ballymaloe Craft Fair is set to return to Ballymaloe Grainstore this November, offering a showcase of the finest Irish-made crafts and designs just in time for the festive season.

Taking place over two weekends—November 15th-17th and 22nd-24th—this year’s Craft Fair will feature more than 200 artists, designers, and food producers from all over Ireland. Attendees can browse unique gifts and local artisan products in a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.

The event will be held at Ballymaloe Grainstore, which will be transformed into a magical marketplace. Each weekend will feature a new set of exhibitors, ensuring a wide variety of products for visitors to explore. The Craft Fair will open its doors from 5pm to 9pm on Fridays, and from 10am to 5:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

A Showcase of Irish Talent

Visitors can expect to find an array of handmade products, including textiles, glassware, sculptures, woodwork, jewellery, and leather goods. All items are crafted by talented local and national artisans. Additionally, the fair will offer a diverse selection of local food products, ranging from cheese to chocolates, highlighting Ireland’s rich culinary traditions.

Family-Friendly Fun

For families, the Ballymaloe Craft Fair promises a fun-filled day out. Children under 12 can enter for free, while those interested in hands-on activities can join Lego Workshops held on Saturdays and Sundays. Priced at €10 per child, these workshops offer safe and educational play, with parental supervision required for under-fives.

Encouraging Support for Local Businesses

Bree Allen of Ballymaloe Grainstore expressed excitement about this year’s event, saying:

“It is a pleasure to launch this year’s Ballymaloe Craft Fair, and we are so excited to welcome back our talented suppliers and stall holders and introduce some new faces too. We have a fantastic selection of stalls this year and I’m certain visitors looking for a perfect Christmas present will find what they are looking for.

It is so important to shop local as much as possible, and we hope visitors will get behind our many small, independent stall holders and make Craft Fair 2024 one to remember!”
