The Carrigaline masterplan outlines an ambitious vision for furthering the growth of Carrigaline’s town centre, including a new public plaza for the local community, a café, 78 residential units, and opportunities to develop further dining and leisure space. There will be 3 pedestrian links from the main street in Carrigaline, as well as pedestrian and vehicle access from the new Western Inner Relief Road, which is expected to be completed by late next year.

Aldi’s new store forms part of a larger Masterplan for the town centre site. Featuring Aldi’s award-winning Project Fresh layout, the 1,315 sq. metre store will be powered by 100% green electricity and will feature solar panels located on the roof. In addition, Carrigaline shoppers will also benefit from 2 electric vehicle charging points at the new store. There will be up to 60 jobs created during the construction period and 30 permanent positions available upon store opening.

The masterplan will provide 119 car parking spaces, and 30 permanent jobs. 60 jobs will be created during constructions and 30 jobs to be created when store recruitment starts.
