WEATHER WARNING: Status Yellow – 26th February 2016.

Met Eireann have issued a status yellow weather warning for “Snow / Ice” for Cork.

  • Some falls of snow this evening and early tonight in parts of Waterford, Cork and Kerry, accumulations of 3cm, larger on high ground.

Winds should start to pick up a bit later in the evening and later on increasing with gusts of up to 38mph.

So a mucky terrible night in store, so please take great care when travelling.

It will also feel chilly tonight with temps falling to between 0 and 2ºC but feeling more like -1º.

The rain should ease by morning to light rain along with the winds.
