The Bandon Road (N71) will close this weekend (11th – 14th August) & 18th – 21st August to allow for emergency road works.

The road will close for 24 hours both days, and traffic has to divert.

The road will close on the Friday at 8pm and will open again at 6am on Monday morning.

Diversion Routes:

Traffic from Bandon will have to divert via Ballinhassig and enter the City by Airport Hill. City traffic will be diverted via Airport Hill to Ballinhassig.

The works are to allow the construction of a new flood culvert under the road at the Viaduct.

REMINDER:

The Halfway to Crossbarry Road (R589) is also closed, until 22nd September 2017 to facilitate road works. Local diversions are in place.
