Two of our administrators, and a few others have received a suspicious phone call over the past few days from a Glasgow registered number; +441418461765. When the call is answered, you’re prompted to select from an IVR system which in turn will connect you to someone looking to take your details, and possibly payment information (we didn’t get this far!)

The IVR prompt is as follows: “Hi, a free Euromillions lotto ticket is awaiting for you at the jackpot draw. To redeem, press 1.”

We would encourage our followers not to answer calls from this number, and if you do answer – not to divulge any personal information unless you know the person you are giving it to. A rule we generally stick to is, unless you have initiated a phone call to someone you know – never give personal information over the phone.
