Met Éireann have issued a Low Temperature (status yellow) weather warning for Ireland tomorrow.

  • Forecasters have said that widespread sharp or severe frost tonight and Sunday morning with lowest temperatures of -3 or -4 degrees. Dense fog patches in many areas also.

Egis Lagan, Motorway Maintenance have informed us that gritters will be out in force tonight with precautionary gritting starting at 20:00 (8pm.)

Routes gritted by Egis Lagan:

The South Ring Road N40 as far as Ovens bridge, M8 as far as the toll plaza, the N25 as far as Junction 6 (Whitegate,) the N20 starting at The Commons Inn as far as the Killarney roundabout, the N71 as far as the end of the dual carriageway, all routes start at the Dunkettle interchange.
