Met Éireann have issued a status orange rainfall warning for Cork, Saturday 2nd September 2017..

• Forecasters are saying that rain will turn heavy and persistent this afternoon and persist for a time overnight. Rainfall totals of 30-40mm are expected widely with potential for accumulations of around 50mm in coastal and upland areas. The rain will be accompanied by strong and gusty southerly winds.
