Gardaí have arrested a woman in her 30s in relation to three theft from shop incidents in Cork City on the 3rd December, 2019.

Shortly before 2pm, Gardaí received a report after a lady had entered a shop on Patrick Street and was believed to have stolen a number of items. Gardaí carried out a patrol of the area and stopped a woman on Maylor Street. She was found to be in possession of clothing, toys and cosmetics that had been stolen from three shops in the city worth approximately €900. The items have all since been returned to the shops.

The woman was arrested, brought to Bridewell Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. She has since been charged and is due to appear before Cork District Court this morning, 4th December at 10.30am.
