A lovely sunny start to the day with a fresh cool breeze coming from the SW direction. Temps this morning at 15°C (17°C) and dry. This unfortunately will be the best part of the day as cloud will build and give showers later for the rest of the day. Temps will get to a high of 17°C (18°C) with winds up to 25mph. Showers becoming more frequent in the afternoon and evening with a 22% chance of heavy downpours. You’ll find it’s a lot cooler and fresher now as the Atlantic has taken back control.

Tonight + Tomorrow: Tonight will see the showers continue and then some moderate rainfall in the very early hours as the next system passes the south coast. This system at present looks to leave us then around mid morning tomorrow.

Official Met Eireann Forecast:

Saturday:Rain in east and north Munster at first today. Brighter weather with sunny spells and scattered showers will follow from the southwest this morning. The showers will continue this afternoon, some possibly heavy. They’ll gradually die out this evening. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds.

Saturday Night:Tonight will start off mainly dry with clear spells. Rain will develop along the south coast towards midnight and will spread over much of Munster, overnight, especially the eastern half of the province. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees.

Sunday: Rain will clear eastwards early on Sunday morning with sunny spells following from the west. In the early afternoon, showers or longer spells of rain will develop in the southwest and will spread to all areas, continuing for the rest of the day. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees with light to moderate north to northwest winds becoming west to southwest.
