Gardaí are appealing to the public for information following the discovery of a man with serious injuries in Clonakilty, County Cork, on Wednesday, 27th November, 2024.

At approximately 10:30am, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted after a man in his 40s was found unresponsive with unexplained injuries on Inchydoney Road on the outskirts of Clonakilty town. He was subsequently brought to Cork University Hospital for treatment. His condition is understood to be critical.

Gardaí are investigating the incident and appealing to witnesses. They are particularly interested in dashcam or mobile phone footage from the Youghals area of Inchydoney Road between Friday, 22nd November, and Wednesday morning, 27th November, 2024.
