Uisce Éireann has announced nightly water supply restrictions from 11pm to 6am until 30 November in Mogeely, Castlemartyr, Ladysbridge, and surrounding areas. These measures are essential to allow reservoirs to replenish and ensure the availability of water during the day.

Water production has resumed at the Mogeely Water Treatment Plant following disruptions caused by Storm Bert. However, reservoir levels remain critically low, putting pressure on the supply system. High-ground areas are expected to experience reduced water pressure and flow during the restriction hours.

Appeal for Conservation Efforts

Residents and businesses in the affected areas are urged to conserve water to support supply recovery. Uisce Éireann recommends checking for leaks in homes, farms, and outbuildings and repairing them promptly. Farmers are also advised to inspect service pipes and drinking troughs for any issues.

Customers can find water-saving tips and access a conservation calculator on the Uisce Éireann website at www.water.ie/conserve. Reports of service loss or visible leaks can be made to help identify and address bursts.

Upcoming Valve Installation Works

As part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, valve installation works will take place from 11pm on 26 November until 3am on 27 November. These works may cause temporary supply disruptions in Ladysbridge, Springfield Road, Mogeely, Castlemartyr, and surrounding areas. A traffic management plan will be in place to minimise inconvenience.

Registered vulnerable customers will receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting over four hours. The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is available 24/7 at 1800 278 278, and updates can also be accessed on the Water Supply Updates section of www.water.ie.
