High winds associated with Storm Bert have led to power outages impacting on 60,000 homes, farms and businesses overnight, predominantly in counties in the west and northwest. Crews are mobilised in impacted areas and responding to faults where it is safe to do so.
The worst impacted areas include Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Cavan, Monaghan, Kerry and Cork. ESB Networks crews and contractors are deployed and restoring power in impacted areas where it is safe to do so.
Estimated restoration times are available on www.PowerCheck.ie and www.ESBNetworks.ie and will be updated as fault sites are assessed and restoration work progresses.
With Met Éireann forecasting Storm Bert to dominate our weather through the weekend, further power outages can be expected. ESB Networks teams are closely monitoring the storm impact on power supplies and all available resources remain on alert.
