The Rod Stewart Concert is due to take place in Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Co. Cork on the 25th May 2019. Doors are due to open at 6pm with event due to finish at approximately 10.45 pm.

Speaking at Anglesea Street Garda Station today, Inspector James Hallahan said “A full traffic plan for the concert has been has been published on the Garda website. As the doors open at 6pm we can expect delays in and out of Cork City. We are asking motorists and pedestrians to be patient and follow the direction of Gardaí and stewards. I would appeal to anyone going to concert to use the Bus Eireann shuttle busses from Lapps Quay or walk to Pairc Ui Chaoimh as there is no parking around the stadium and there will be a tow away operation in place.

As always, when travelling to and from the stadium I would ask that patrons respect the local residents and businesses. This is an event for all the family and consuming alcohol out in public will not be tolerated. During the course of the day we want everyone to enjoy themselves but we would ask that you remember a few simple things;

Have a plan for the evening on how you are getting to and from the event. Be mindful of your property. Keep your phone, wallet or purse on you at all times. If you find yourself in a scenario and sense there could be trouble, walk away and call the Gardaí. Most of all, enjoy the concert and stay safe.”
