Please be advised that Midwest Roads will be carrying out a major traffic survey in Limerick, Cork and Tipperary for the N/M20 Cork to Limerick Road Improvement Scheme over the coming weeks. Further information on the NM20 project can be found at www.corklimerick.ie .

Attached are details of the surveys and contact details for the contractor carrying out the works. The works will be carried out by Idaso Ltd with support from Tracsis for the Cork City surveys. Idaso have been liaising with the Local Authorities, Direct Route and MMaRC Area C in respect of permissions.

Introduction

Idaso have been appointed to complete traffic surveys for the N/M20 Cork to Limerick project. The overall programme will run from the 26th of February commencing with the installation of ATC’s and junction turning counts and concluding on the 10th March when the last of the survey equipment is due to be collected. There are a number of survey types happening in parallelincluding Link counts (pneumatic tube counters), an origin destination survey via ANPR Cameras and Junction Turning Counts via camera.
