Gardaí have arrested and charged a man and seized two throwing knives in Cork city on June 25, 2020.

Gardaí from Anglesea Street where on a high visibility proactive foot patrol when they saw a man activing suspiciously on Oliver Plunkett Street

The man, aged in his late 20s, was stopped and searched and was found to be in possession of two throwing knives.

The man was arrested and brought to Bridewell Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

He was later charged and is due to appear before Cork City District Court on July 8, 2020.
