Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in relation to a number of criminal damage incidents to pavements in Cork City.

Between 11th and 12th of April, paving slabs were removed from the ground and replaced with flowers.

An investigation was carried out by Gardaí in Anglesea Street and a man, aged in his late 20s, was arrested yesterday, 19th April.

He was detained at Bridewell Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has since been charged to appear before the courts at a later date
