Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in relation to a burglary in Cork City on July 12, 2020.

Shortly after 5pm Gardaí from Anglesea Street received a report of a burglary at a business on Washington Street in which an employee’s bicycle was stolen.

Gardaí attended the scene and carried out a patrol of the area but no arrest was made. Investigating Gardaí gathered CCTV from the area and a possible suspect was later nominated.

A man, aged in his late 20s, was arrested on August 13. He was detained at Gurranabraher Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and was later charged.

He is due to appear before Cork City District Court on September 9, 2020 at 10.30am.
