Le Chéile Schools Trust are seeking parental support in securing the patronage of the new secondary school in Ballincollig.  The Trust is made up of schools that have a long tradition in education in Ireland, including St. Aloysius’ College, Carrigtwohill, St. Angela’s College, St. Patrick’s Hill, Cork, Ursuline Secondary School, Blackrock, Cork and Scoil Ursula, Blackrock. We have successfully opened a new Catholic Secondary School, by parental request, in Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15 (see Le Chéile Secondary School).

Le Chéile are offering the young people of Ballincollig a Secondary School built on the shared purpose of Welcome, Wisdom and Witness.  Dr Éilis Humphreys, Executive Director of the Le Chéile Schools Trust, describes Le Chéile schools as “inclusive communities where all are welcome, we strive for academic excellence,  and understand success as each child in our care reaching their full potential.”

Tony Lee, Leadership and Governance Officer of the Trust and retired Principal of St. Aloysius’ College, Carrigtwohill said;

We would be honoured if the parents/guardians of children from 2nd to 6th class in the Ballincollig area would vote for Le Chéile Schools Trust as the patron for their new school.

Voting on the Department of Education and Skills website is now open and will remain open until 16th November 2020 at 9am.  For more information please join us at our information evening on Wednesday 4th November at 6pm via zoom.  https://tinyurl.com/InformationEveningLeCheile
