Irish Water and Cork County Council are still working to restore water supply to customers in a number of areas in Cork that have been disrupted following Storm Ellen. Although a lot of progress has been made to restore supplies, there are still a lot of areas without water to the east and north of the county.
Irish Water has been re-directing supplies and deploying generators to sustain supplies where possible. Alternative water stations will be established today as work continues on the restoration of plants and the production of drinking water. The locations and times for these alternative water stations will be made available later today.

Speaking about the ongoing work, Operations Lead with Irish water, Neil Smyth said: “It has been a very difficult time in dealing with the aftermath of Storm Ellen and we appreciate the understanding of the public as we work hard to restore this essential service to the homes and businesses affected.”

Areas still without water include:

  • Corbally
  • Clash/Leamlara
  • Walshtown Beg
  • Kerry Pike
