On Thursday, the Munster Technological University’s International Office host a GAA coaching session with former Cork hurler and footballer, Sean Óg Ó hAilpín. Around 20 Erasmus students and students from One of MTU’s partner colleges, Endicott, in Boston, USA registered for the hour and a half long event and were introduced to Hurling. 

Sean Óg Ó hAilpín coached the students in the basics of Hurling, and they were introduced to an important aspect of Irish culture on the day. 

Munster Technological University or MTU is a multi-campus technological university, consisting of six campuses in Cork and Kerry. The university was established in January 2021, the result of a merger between two institutes of technology, Cork Institute of Technology and IT Tralee. MTU International Office welcomes International students and frequently organises events to help introduce students to Irish culture
