Carrigaline Stabbing Incident Update: A male juvenile arrested by Gardaí as part of this investigation has been charged and is due to appear before a sitting of Cork District Court this morning (8/6/2020) at 10.30am.

Gardaí investigating the assault that occurred last night, Saturday 6th June, 2020 at approximately 10.30p.m. at Waterpark, Carrigaline, Co. Cork are renewing their appeal for witnesses.

The injured party has been released from hospital and investigating Gardaí are appealing for any persons who were in the area of Waterpark and can assist with the investigation to contact them, and for any road users who may have camera footage (dash-cam) of Waterpark on Saturday night from 10p.m. to 10.30p.m. to contact them at Togher Garda Station 021 494 7120, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred at approximately 10:25pm on Saturday 6th June 2020 in the Waterpark area of Carrigaline.

A male youth in his teens sustained a number of apparent stab wounds during the assault and was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where his injuries are described as non-life threatening.

One male youth in his teens has been arrested as part of this investigation and he is currently being detained at a Garda Station in Cork City.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident and for any persons with information to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time to make this footage available to Gardaí.
