Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision between a car and a motorcycle that occurred on the N20, Rathgoggin North, Charleville, Cork this afternoon, Thursday 25th February, 2021 at approximately 2p.m.

The driver of the car, a man aged in his early 70s, and the driver of the motorcycle, a man aged 20 years, were both fatally injured during the collision. The bodies of both men remain at the scene at this time.

Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene and the road is currently closed with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. They are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), who were travelling in the area between 1.30p.m. – 3p.m. to make this footage available to Gardaí.
