The Marina has been closed to traffic this morning following reports that a body could be seen in the River Lee at approximately 8.30am this morning.

Emergency services are currently responding to the incident, and remain at the scene. A Garda spokesperson has said:

Shortly after 8.30am a report was received that a body could be seen in the River Lee at The Marina in Cork City. Emergency Services are currently at the scene.
