Update from Gardaí on reported child abductions in the Northside of the City last night:

Gardaí made inquires into an alleged incident involving a motorist and youths on Blarney Street yesterday afternoon, and from enquries to date there is nothing to suggest this was and attempted abduction incident.

In a separate and unrelated matter Gardaí attended a location in Knocknaheeney following reports of a suspect car in the area and a possible suspicious approach.

Following local inquires it was established that no car was in the area at the time and no complaint was forthcoming.
